Holiday Dazzle Light Parade - Sunday, November 29th, 2009

The biggest & best holiday parade in Northeast Connecticut! Come downtown for a night of amazing floats and community spirit!

The Putnam Business Association is offering an exciting chance to take a train ride from Historic Union Station in Putnam! Tickets are only $20 and are now available at the following locations:

Welcome to Putnam, CT!

The first annual Northeast Connecticut Great Pumpkin Festival is happening on Saturday, October 24th, RAIN OR SHINE! We've got a full day of events lined up throughout the entire town of Putnam, with a little something for everyone - including:

  • North End:

    A GIANT flea market with food & entertainment, sidewalk sales, 'make your own' Trick or Treat bags, lots of kids activities, Hot Cider/Hot Chocolate at Penny's Corner Cafe from 12 Noon - 2PM, pumpkin decorating at Labonte & Mercik, food at Chuck Bousquet's, and music featuring The Great Garage Band Reunion from 1PM - 3PM and Billy Pilgrim from 1PM - 3PM!
  • The Commons:

    Kids Moon Bounce, kids crafts from 10am - 2pm, Autumn Needle Felting Workshop from 11am - 1pm, giant sand castle, cookies & punch, sidewalk chalk craft, pies & pastries from the Aspinock Historical Society, and live music featuring Maria Sangiolo from 1pm - 3pm!
  • Old Towne Putnam:

    Art exhibits, Harvest Market, Hospice Teddy Bear sale, all kinds of pumpkin delights at all the Main Street eateries, a historic train ride, and live music all day featuring Steve Caddick & Avalon, The Sax Man, Donna Dufresne & band, Dr. J Acoustic Guitar, and the Outriggers!
  • Rotary Park:

    HUGE Craft Show, Putnam Rotary Food Booth, Putnam Lions Food Booth, Citizens National Bank temporary tattoos & pumpkin decorating contest, Project Graduation Bake Sale, Aspinock Historical Society Walking Tour at 2pm, and music from Steve Caddick & Avalon!

Not only will there be lots to do & see in all three sections of Putnam, but there will also be FREE transportation to all locations! Two shuttles will be available; one will be a direct shuttle, the other a longer guided tour of Putnam providing details of our town's fascinating history.
